While recurring events can be a quick and easy way to add a weekly bible study or a regular youth group, we've found that the time it would take to do recurring events properly isn't worth the benefit they provide. If you need this feature, you can vote for it here.
From a strategy perspective, a recurring event for something regular (like a Sunday service or a Wednesday bible study) isn't very useful since it tends to clutter up your events page with many copies of the same event, and can drown out other, more important one-time events. Consider limiting events to only publicly accessible events (avoid publicizing events like 'member's meeting' or similar).
How can I add multiple copies of an event?
It's easy to duplicate an event on MereChurch. Just click the '…' menu to the right of the Publish button on the event you wish to duplicate. Then, click 'Duplicate:'

All you'll need to do is update the date, and make sure that each event has a unique slug (easy ways to get a unique slug: you can append '-2,' '-3,' etc, or put the date in the slug, such as 'weekly-bible-study-april-27')
I still really need recurring events! What can I do?
Our current official method to support recurring events is to use our Planning Center Online integration, which will populate your events page from your PCO events calendar. Since planning center supports recurring events, multiple instances of the same event will be synced over automatically.
