With MereChurch, you have many tools to understand your entire resource library. Different attributes about your resources (like Topics, Author, Scripture, and Series entries) are called Groupings, and individual items in those groupings (A topic called 'Faithulness', an author called 'Bob Gibson').
From your Desk, you can access several different tools to help you sort and filter resources by these different groupings:
From the Resources menu, select 'All Resources' to view a list of all your resources, sorted by date published (newest to oldest —quick tip: you can change this ordering by clicking the . . . menu to the right of the 'All Resources' heading). Here you can easily edit, add, or update resources.
'Published,' 'Drafts,' and 'Scheduled' are quick links that filter down your resource library to only resources that meet one of the three conditions: published resources, resources that have not yet been published, and resources that are published, but not live on the site yet because their publish date is in the future.
Click 'Resource Types,' 'People,' 'Topics,' 'Series,' and 'Scriptures' to view a list of the individual terms in each of these taxonomies. This is where you go to add or edit individual grouping terms, such as a new series or a guest speaker under People (sorry, we won't let you add to the scriptures!)
You can also select 'Resource Filters' to view a few different ways to drill down into your resource library, this is especially useful when you have a large library.
Select 'Resources by [Grouping] to view a list of all resources that belong to a particular Grouping Term. For example, clicking 'Resources by Topic,' then 'Family,' will show you a listing of all resources that belong to the topic 'Family.'
Resources with/without audio, with/without video, and without topic, series, scripture are shortcuts to help you discover gaps in your own library (for example, if a volunteer is going back and adding sermon references to sermons that lack them, 'Resources without Scripture' is a handy shortcut!)
Finally, 'Resource Settings' directs you to the resource settings page. You can set a Series fallback image here, as well as manage the metadata that shows up on resource cards.
